About Reem Wassef

Hello my name is Reem Wassef, MD, an assistant professor in the University of Florida Department of Pediatrics. My journey in medicine began with my Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Alexandria University in Egypt, followed by a rotating internship at the same institution. I completed my pediatric residency at Hamad Medical Corporation in Doha, Qatar, and further pursued an academic general pediatrics fellowship at both Hamad Medical Corporation and Sidra Medicine.

Fluent in Arabic, I am passionate about providing comprehensive care to my patients and their families. My commitment to pediatric care led me to complete a second pediatric residency at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. Throughout my career, I have held various academic roles, including serving as a faculty member of medical genetics at Alexandria University and clinical teaching Weill Cornell medical students in Doha.

Outside of my medical practice, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two boys. I love crafts and DIY projects, although I rarely find the time to complete them! Traveling is another passion of mine, and I dream of exploring the world someday. I look forward to meeting you and watching your children grow!
