About Bilal Khodr

Hello, my name is Bilal Khodr, and I’m an assistant professor at the University of Florida in the Department of Pediatrics. Throughout my career, I’ve always been driven by a desire for impact—striving to make a difference in the lives of my patients and their families. As a seasoned pediatrician and emergency medicine specialist with over 22 years of experience in both outpatient and inpatient care, my clinical expertise spans pediatric care, trauma management, developmental pediatrics, and family medicine. In addition, I’m skilled in central line and PICC line placements, providing high-quality care in emergency departments across multiple hospitals in Florida and Lebanon.

In my academic career, I hold faculty positions at institutions like the University of Florida, where I teach developmental pediatrics, and the Lebanese American University, where I have contributed to medical education as a clinical associate professor. Exposure to healthcare in diverse settings has greatly influenced my professional growth, allowing me to refine my skills and share my knowledge with students and colleagues alike. I am deeply committed to personal growth, continuously seeking new opportunities to expand my expertise and contribute to the field.

My core values and beliefs—empathy, compassion, and dedication to patient-centered care—guide my daily practice. I believe in the power of understanding and connection, and I always approach my patients with the utmost care and respect. In leadership roles, such as my tenure as medical director of various emergency departments and clinics, I have worked to create environments that foster teamwork, respect, and the highest standards of care.

Outside of my profession, I enjoy reading, which helps me continue learning and staying engaged with the world around me.
