Johanna Campos, MD

Hi! I’m Dr. Campos, and I’m a general pediatrician at UF Health Pediatrics in Ocala. I was born and raised in El Salvador, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Universidad Evangélica de El Salvador. I completed my pediatric residency at SBH Health System in New York City. As a bilingual pediatrician fluent in both English and Spanish, I am committed to providing inclusive and compassionate care to children and families from diverse backgrounds. This allows me to build trust, strengthen communication, and ensure that families feel heard and supported throughout their care.

My love for pediatrics began early in my training, when I realized how much joy and meaning I found in caring for children. To me, pediatrics is more than treating illnesses, it’s about nurturing growth, supporting families, and helping children thrive in every stage of life. I believe in working alongside parents, answering questions with understanding, and providing guidance that is both compassionate and evidence based.

In addition, I have a special interest in behavioral health, including ADHD management and developmental screenings, and I feel honored to support families as they navigate these challenges of their child’s journey. Watching my patients grow year after year and celebrating their milestones with their families is one of the greatest rewards of my work.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy traveling with my husband, discovering new places and cuisines, and spending time with our two beloved dogs.
