About Yana S Banks

Yana Serita Banks,MD, has been a general pediatrician for 30 years.  Originally from North Carolina, Dr. Banks attended medical school at Wake Forest University Medical School and  she completed her pediatrics residency at the University of Tennessee, LeBonheur Children’s Hospital, The City of Memphis Hospital and St. Jude.

Dr. Banks then returned to North Carolina and began her National Health Corps Service at the Vance-Warren Comprehensive Health Care Center.  Dr. Banks and her family moved to  Gainesville 20 years ago, and Dr. Banks has worked at the Alachua County Health Department during this time.  

She has two sons, an amazing husband and a dog and is very active in her church  and community.
